Tue, 26 May 2009 I just finished producing this for @MistyRaeMusic. Turn the lights down, the music up, simply listen, and enjoy. I'm thoroughly enjoying the making of these last two songs... let's do another one! Comments[4] |
Tue, 19 May 2009 I just finished producing this song for Misty Rae (www.twitter.com/MistyRaeMusic). We tracked the whole thing at her place on my MacBook with her dad Guy Sereff engineering the session. Working on this track was the most fun I have had in a long time! I feel this is truly one of those songs that will become a song in the soundtrack of many people's lives thru the years. Great job Misty! You wrote a winner!Comments[24] |
Thu, 7 May 2009 It just seems to be a "Happiness" kinda day... go getcha some! Now for the studio mix; I recorded this at ATM Music in Spring Hill with Ricky "Bobby" Armentrout. Enjoy! Comments[7] |
Fri, 1 May 2009 This is one of my favorite songs that I have written. tI speaks to what this life is all about... who wouldn't want to know what this life is all about? right? I wrote it with Steve Austin about year or so ago. I made this recording in garageband and liked it so much that I still use it. Comments welcome. Comments[25] |
Mon, 20 April 2009 By request; My favorite Shiloh song. One Life. I thought it was the one song that captured the complete package that was SHILOH. Ahhhh.... those were that days! Click on the link to download it for free! Comments[8] |
Sun, 19 April 2009 This is the single version for my song "Rain". Written by Jason Carson, Chaise Flanders, and Pam Wolfe. I'm uploading it here so I can add it to my Blip.fm playlist. For more on that go to: http://blip.fm/carsonator Comments[8] |
Mon, 19 May 2008 Stay with me as I figure out how to do this! Right now the clips are limited to 30 seconds each - but will play sequentially; so as I add new clips they will appear at the end of the stream and will be refreshed a couple of times a day. Also, I'll look at getting another feed setup in reverse chronological order and post a subscribe link from here and probably embed the player on www.myspace.com/jasoncarsonmusic. Sun, 21 October 2007 This post features a new song called "Right Now!" I wrote it with Steve Austin a few days ago in my garage. I recorded the audio of us actually writing the chorus (it wrote itself in about 4 minutes). I recorded the first live performance of our new song with the iRiver at The Listening Room in Franklin, TN in the round with the Writer's Posse.
Stay tuned after the song for some writer's chat with the Writer's Posse "Scout Master" himself; Jeff Dayton.
Thanks to my kid brother Ben for this awsome picture of my kids!Comments[26] |
Sun, 7 October 2007 This is the first recording of "Happyness" that I have. I took it at Steve's house sitting at his kitchen table with Matt Snodgrass on a lazy weekday afternoon before everyone got home from work/school. We were discussing the general vibe of the song and Matt started beat-boxing.... so we just recorded it! This recording was the framework for our perfomance at the Bluebird Cafe. Even though the recording is ruff in spots (I sat the MacBook on Steve's kitchen table and hit the record button) without a doubt; it's still my favorite one that I have... go figure!
Even though Brian (middle) was not there for this recording, the song itself would not be what it is today without him as a writer on it. In fact, I want to thank both Steve (Left) and Brian for writing "Happyness" with me; this episode goes out to the two of them. I believe this song has great things in it's future for all of us.
Just for good measure I'm pasting the lyrics as a comment to this post. Comments[46] |
Sun, 7 October 2007 There is something about this song that still moves me. Usually I get tired of my own songs after playing them a few hundred times; but this one sticks... dunno why.
I'm joined in the round at Lyrix by my good friends Shaunna Bolton and Lee Rascone. And, of course, the one and only Steve Austin drops in at the end. Comments[49] |
Tue, 2 October 2007 Karen Oliver and I discuss my upcoming trip to Los Angeles to work on a TV pilot together. What do you think about the idea? Would you like to contribute? Listen in and feel free to comment. Comments[26] |
Wed, 22 August 2007 This little movie came to me from my mother as an email attachment (as I'm sure it came to her...). I have no idea where or what this function is, or who the artist is. But take a few moments to be amazed. I love stuff like this! Thanks Mom! Category: QuickCast -- posted at: 12:30 PM Comments[51] |
Tue, 21 August 2007 You guys all remember Andy from the podcast? Hell, we go way back to the "Shiloh" days... anyway, his band "Whislter" is performing on the Cumberland tomorrow night and if you are in the area, you really should check these guys out! I've seen them several times and I've never been disappointed! Sample their music here. Click here for details about the show.
In other news: I'll be at Lyrix tonight with a few of the Writers Posse. The Godfather himself is rumored to be there tonight...Come on and getcha some! Category: QuickCast -- posted at: 12:27 PM Comments[2] |

Sun, 18 February 2007 This is a real book (I know!) that I saw as I was browsing the shelves of a local bookstore this weekend (no, I didn't buy it)! It's amazing though; I consider myself a person of faith and yet I have no idea where our president is coming from with regard to his policy in general, but most specifically regarding our current situation in Iraq and his policies on world deplomacy.
I take some time during this eposode to speak my mind regarding our president's actions and voice my response to a call sent out by my good friend and fellow artist/podcaster David Ippolito to call on our conservative minded friends to shed some light on how it is that conservatives in this country feel about our president and his policies. It's not all politics though! I share with you music from the podsafe music network, and feature Matthew Ebel as part of a LIVE roundtable disscussion on the The Big Break Live podcast with host; Don Lewis. I also have a great idea for my conservative friend on how he should be using his talents to better the world. Curious? You'll have to listen to find out what that is.... Thanks for listening and I hope to see you all at Podsafe Music Live! Comments[9] |
